With everyone sitting at home, in the midst of this pandemic, I can understand how difficult it has been to adapt to this new lifestyle…how challenging it is to generate optimism…how confusing it is to find a purpose for ourselves. So, I thought to revive our this dormant blog “The Floating Thoughts” and use it for what it was created in the first place: Share our thoughts floating in our heart and mind.

I look outside of my closed windows and watch the trees swaying in the cool warm breeze of the approaching summer. I close my eyes and imagine the gust of air caressing my face, making me remember the calmness that it beholds within me and assuring my heart that there is an end to every beginning, a fresh start following that end, a neverending cycle that keeps on churning around us and within us. Doesn’t it make you feel beautiful about how special everything is on earth, having a finite time to it and a limited period to cherish them? Yet we get lost in ourselves, fixated to a few things that are not the output of nature but only made up by human minds. We forget to look at things that surround us while running after things that we feel would give us eternal happiness.

Now, staying at home makes us realize how ignorant we had been of the little simple things such as walking on the road or talking to people in classes and offices. It makes us rethink how foolish we had been in trying to chase perfection by sacrificing everything along the way. It makes us realize about unsaid things, undone actions and so many other situations when we didn’t pause to relish the moment. Today, taking a run in the park seems like the most important achievement in our life…talking to friends over video calls makes us aware of how little we know about one another lives…staying with families brings back the lost kid within us.

Aren’t these the actual definition of our happiness now?

Have we been misinterpreting the meaning of happiness until this moment?

Something to think about and reflect so that you can find your own “real” definition of happiness.

Share your Quiet thoughts and spread the love.

Be Strong. Be Safe. Do Epic.
